How to use the paintgels:

We'll explain how to use the paint gels for chrome designs and for a single color look.

For chrome designs:

Step 1

Finish your manicure and product application neatly to create a smooth base for the paint gel. A clean, even surface helps achieve a flawless result.

Step 2

Apply a layer of the Chrome Controle Coat and cure for 90 seconds. The Chrome Controle Coat ensures that the chrome pigment only adheres to the paint gel and not the layer underneath.

Step 3

Use a liner brush to apply your design with the black Colortone Paintgel. Cure for 90 seconds in an LED lamp. This longer curing time ensures optimal adhesion of your chrome pigment and a smooth, even finish.

Pro tip

Working on a chrome base? First apply a layer of base coat or Chrome Seal Coat and cure for 90 seconds. Then continue with your paintgel design.

Step 4

Rub the chrome pigment into the paintgel using an applicator, your finger, or a brush. Use the Mini Chrome Brush, for example, to gently remove any excess powder without damaging your design.

Step 5

Seal your design with our Chrome Seal Coat: this prevents chipping and ensures long-lasting shine. Fully cure this layer—again, for 90 seconds.

Step 6

Finish with the Chrome Top Coat for a next-level mirror shine. Cure this final layer for 90 seconds as well.

For a single color:

Step 1

Properly prep the natural nail: perform a manicure, buff the surface, and cleanse to remove any oils.

Step 2

Apply a base coat and cure it completely. Working over BIAB? Just follow your usual routine.

Step 3

Apply a thin layer of paintgel using a flat brush like the Round 6 Brush. Cure for 90 seconds in the lamp.

Step 4

One layer is usually enough due to the high pigmentation, but want an even bolder result? Apply a second thin layer and cure again for 90 seconds.

Step 5

Seal your look with two layers of top coat. This protects against dullness and wear, and gives a professional finish. Be sure to fully cure both layers.
