The new and improved Chrome Top Coat by Colortone is the perfect for full-cover chrome designs. This HEMA-free and TPO-free top coat features an enhanced formula that delivers a long-lasting, high-shine finish — just what you need for professional finish to your nail art.

Tip: If you plan to use this top coat both as a regular no-wipe top coat and for chrome application, we highly recommend keeping two separate bottles. This ensures that one stays free of chrome or glitter while the other remains dedicated to chrome application.

Size: 9ml

How to Use the Chrome Top Coat:
Step 1:
Prep your nails by ensuring your manicure is complete and your base is clean and ready for gel application.

Step 2: Apply a thin layer of base coat and fully cure it under the lamp. Curing time may vary depending on the brand.

Step 3: Apply a thin layer of your base color and cure it fully under the lamp.

Tip: For the best chrome or pigment coverage, we recommend using a white or black base. The undertone of your base color will influence how the chrome effect appears on the nail. Always test your chrome against different base colors to find your perfect match!

Step 4: Apply a thin layer of Chrome Top Coat, but cure it only for half of the recommended time.

Tip: Want to create a chrome French tip or add selective chrome details? Use Colortone’s Paint Gel and cure for 30-40 seconds before applying chrome.

Step 5: Rub the chrome powder onto the nail using pur chrome applicator brush or eyeshadow applicator, then remove any excess powder with a clean brush.

Step 6: Place the hand back under the lamp to ensure the gel polish is fully cured. Use a clean brush once more to remove any remaining loose powder.

Step 7: Seal your chrome design with Chrome Seal Coat and fully cure it under the lamp. This step enhances adhesion and prevents chipping.

Step 8: Finish with a thin layer of Chrome Top Coat and cure fully under the lamp for that flawless, long-lasting shine.

What’s the Difference Between Chrome Seal Coat, Chrome Controle Coat, and Chrome Top Coat?
Let’s break it down—each of these plays a key role in achieving the perfect chrome application:
Chrome Seal Coat – The bond builder. Ensures strong adhesion between layers, preventing wear and chipping. Apply after your chrome design and before your top coat.

Chrome Controle Coat – The precision tool. Want chrome in specific areas only? This coat acts as a sticky base, giving you full control over chrome placement—ideal for intricate and detailed designs.

Chrome Top Coat – The finishing touch. Colortone’s bestselling chrome formula, now even better! Designed for full-cover chrome, this top coat locks in shine and protects your design, giving you a mirror-like, long-lasting finish.
